1. Access
CrewOS is not sold as standalone software and has no public signup. Access is provided as a benefit of membership in the Groundwork Society (groundworksociety.com). Membership standing, and any fees associated with it, govern continued access.
We grant your business a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform for its own operations for as long as the account is in good standing.
2. Your data stays yours
Everything your business puts into CrewOS — customers, jobs, pricing, photos, and financial records — remains your property. You grant us only the rights needed to host, process, back up, and display it in order to provide the service, and to work on support requests you raise.
You can export your data at any time while the account is active. On request, we will provide a copy for 30 days after the account closes.
3. Your responsibilities
- Keep account credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect they have been compromised
- Make sure you have the legal right and any required consent to load contact data into the platform, and to message those contacts
- Follow the law when sending marketing email and SMS, including honoring opt-outs and quiet hours
- Comply with the terms of any third-party service you connect, including Meta, Google, and Stripe
- Do not use the platform to break the law, infringe rights, send unsolicited bulk messages, or attempt to access another business's data
- Do not resell, sublicense, or white-label the platform without written agreement
You are responsible for what your users do under your account.
4. Third-party integrations
The platform connects to services such as Meta, Google, Stripe, and SMS and email providers. Those services are operated by others under their own terms, and their availability is outside our control. If a provider changes or withdraws access, the affected feature may change or stop working.
5. Fees and payments
Any fees are those set out in your membership or order. Payment processing is handled by Stripe under its terms. Charges your business collects from its own customers through the platform are between your business and them; we are not a party to those transactions.
6. Availability and support
We work to keep CrewOS available and to fix problems quickly, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages, and events outside our control can interrupt it. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice before removing something you depend on.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. CrewOS is a record-keeping and operations tool: it is not legal, tax, accounting, or professional advice, and you remain responsible for verifying your own pricing, invoicing, payroll, and compliance decisions.
To the maximum extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
8. Termination
You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, if membership lapses, or if use of the platform creates legal or security risk. On termination, the data-retention rules in the Privacy Policy apply.
9. Changes, governing law, and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the product or by email, and continued use after they take effect means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
